Embracing a New Era with Willow & Whisk
Welcome to Willow & Whisk, where the spirit of nature and the art of baking intertwine to create something truly magical. My journey began with Bell, Bake & Candle, a name that held deep meaning for me, but as I’ve evolved, so too has my vision for my business. I am an Indigenous woman, a proud member of the Citizen Band Potawatomi Nation, and I have dedicated my life to honoring my heritage and the earth-based path of my ancestors.
As an eccentric “granny” with a love for all things boho, I see the world through a lens of creativity and spirituality. My heart beats in rhythm with nature, and though I might not be the best gardener (I have a semi-black thumb!), my passion for the outdoors drives me to cultivate my patio garden, where I nurture plants that inspire my culinary creations. Baking is my love language, and over the years, I’ve transformed this passion into a delightful art form, crafting unique recipes for gourmet cookies, cakes, and other delectable treats.
You may wonder about the name change from Bell, Bake & Candle to Willow & Whisk. This transformation has been a journey filled with challenges in establishing my brand in the small business community. However, I believe this new name captures my essence in a way that feels even more aligned with my spirit. “Willow” embodies the enchanting qualities of the willow tree-a symbol of strength and grace that bends without breaking, thriving in harmony with its surroundings. It reflects my deep-rooted connection to nature as a green witch, reminding us of the beauty found in adaptability and nurturing, which aligns with my commitment to sustainability.
“Whisk,” on the other hand, is a playful nod to my passion for baking, evoking the joyful dance of mixing ingredients that brings forth delicious creations. It symbolizes the heart of my culinary endeavors-the magic that happens when simple elements come together to create something extraordinary. Each time I whisk, I infuse my love and intention into my treats, hoping to create moments of joy and comfort for those who indulge in them.
At Willow & Whisk, I strive to live intentionally and mindfully, creating upcycled clothing designs and breathing new life into furniture. I want every piece I create—whether it’s a delicious dessert or a unique craft-to resonate with the beauty of our Mother Earth, inspiring others to appreciate and care for our planet.
